Hussein, who promised to take Kenyan football to another level, took the opportunity to thank the officials from the Machakos County Government for facilitating the process.
“The FKF technical centre dream has taken a major step forward. Grateful to Governor Wavinya Ndeti and the entire Machakos County leadership for officially handing over the title deed for the 20-acre land that will host this transformative project,” read part of his statement.
With the title now secured, we move to the next phase – mobilizing funding and beginning construction. Once complete, the centre will not only boost football development across the country but also make Machakos the future home of FKF.

Ndeti outlines how the move will facilitate the growth of Kenyan football
While confirming the strategic move, Ndeti expressed confidence in the proposed technical centre enhancing Kenyan football.
“Today, I hosted the President of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), Hussein Mohammed, who paid me a courtesy call, during which I handed over the title deed to the parcel of land at the New City for the proposed technical centre.
This marks a major step towards making our country a hub for football development, where talent will be nurtured, and the standards of the game elevated. The centre will serve players, coaches, referees, and the wider football community, creating opportunities for our youth to grow their skills, compete at higher levels, and represent our county pride on the national and international stages,” she explained.

Mohammed was accompanied by several FKF officials including Vice President McDonald Mariga to the presentation ceremony that was held at the Machakos County headquarters.
Should everything go according to plan, Harambee Stars and the entire Kenyan football fraternity will benefit in general.
