The Kenyan national 15’s rugby team popularly known as Kenya Simbas secured a huge victory over the UAE Rugby on Saturday evening.
Kenya Simbas hammered the visitors 54-24 in the entertaining clash that took place at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.
Although the Kenya Simbas started the match on a high, they found themselves trailing UAE Rugby 7-0. The try was scored by Justin Walsh, who took advantage of a poor clearance from Festus Shiasi to net a try.

The visitors made the resultant conversion count to bring their tally to 7-0 and silence the Kenya Simbas supporters.
As the game continued, UAE managed to score their second try of the match which gave them a 14-0 lead.
The development forced the Kenya Simbas technical bench that is led by Jerome Paarwater to introduce 15 new players in a bid to regain control of the tie.

The move paid off when Bethuel Anami pulled one try back with Eric Cantona making a successful conversion to make the scoreboard read 14-7.
Kenya Simbas’ situation got worse when Patrick Sabatia was given a yellow card after an infringement, an outcome that made it easier for UAE to score another try and increase their lead to 21-7.
Nonetheless, the Kenyans did not give up and their hard work made it possible for Cantona to score another try and reduce the deficit to seven.
Despite UAE scoring a penalty to increase their tally to 24, Kenya Simbas showed resilience in the second half and eventually secured a huge win.

The victory was made possible by the introduction of more experienced players in the latter stages of the game.
