Kenya Lionesses came from behind to beat Colombia 12-05 in a difficult match as they booked their place in the World Rugby HSBC Challenger Series second leg final.
The Lionesses started the match slowly and had to wait until the second half to hurt their South American opponents.
Colombia, who played a good game in the first half, were the first ones to break the dead lock in the encounter that was staged at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa.
Although the Lionesses tried to penetrate the Colombian defence in the finally stages of the first half, their efforts did not pay any fruit.

However, the team which is yet to suffer any defeat in the tournament, returned from the break strongly and after a couple of attempts, Judith Akumu broke away from the Colombian players and went on to score a try.
The East Africans failed to make a conversion, making the score board to read 05-05.
Immediately after the Lionesses found an equalizer, Colombia ferociously attacked the Kenyan defence, doing everything humanly possible to get their lead back.
Nevertheless, they did not find any breakthrough as the Kenyan women protected their backline like a safety net.
With less than two minutes remaining to end of the match, Sharon Auma sprinted down the wing and went on to score Kenya’s second try.

This time round the conversion was made successfully to give the Dennis Mwanja coached side a 12-05 lead.
Kenya Lionesses will now play their familiar rivals South Africa in an all African final that is scheduled to go down at 8:51 PM East African Time (EAT).
The two sides met last weekend at the semifinal of the first leg of the tournament where Kenya secured a narrow 19-15 victory.
Prior to that game, South Africa had beaten Kenya 12-07 in the final of the 2024 African Olympic Games qualifiers that was held in Tunisia.
Should Kenya, who hammered Argentina in their final of the first leg once again overpower the hosts, they will go to the third and last round of the Challenger Series tournament with two titles.
The final leg of the tournament will be held in Poland, precisely in the City of Krakow between April 11 and April 12, 2025.
