16 February 2025 marked yet another significant milestone for leading online gaming firm SportPesa as they proudly launched the second edition of the Tujiamini Initiative – part of the company’s social responsibility arm with a Kshs 70 million investment geared towards supporting the growth and development of community projects, talented individuals and fueling the ambitions of grassroots teams.
Announced during the Tujiamini Festival 2025 that took place at the Dandora Stadium in Nairobi, a two-day celebration of community empowerment, grassroots football development, and the recognition of past champions and beneficiaries, SportPesa CEO Hon. Capt. Ronald Karauri affirmed the company’s renewed commitment to supporting talent sustainably.
“We have finished one year of a successful Tujiamini campaign and this is a celebration. When we had the Tujiamini dream we never thought it would be this big, but we are happy because we have created a lot of winners and nurtured a lot of talents.
In the first year, we invested 30 million Kenyan shillings because we believe Kenya has talent and what is remaining is just the support.
In 2025, we have added our investment in Tujiamini and we will take it to 70 million Kenyan shillings,” Karauri announced.

Unlike the first year of the Tujiamini initiative that ran in 2024, the second edition of the campaign that will run in 2025 will see some adjustments that will be addressed in this article and everything you need to know.
Gold Community Award
The official launch of the new structure and vision for Tujiamini 2025 revealed that community-owned and led projects would take precedence as the Gold category award every month with a Kshs 1 Million allocation.
This saw an increase from the Ksh 500,000 that was being offered in year one to only one individual.
The Gold Community Award will focus heavily on a project that aims to empower the community.

Silver Award
This award will be given to 3 different winners who will bag Kshs 100,000 each.
Bronze Award
This will have 50 winners receiving Kshs 10,000 each.
Cheza Dimba Award
Grassroot teams will earn a 3-year Cheza Dimba sponsorship worth Ksh 250,000 annually (men) and Ksh 50,000 one-off for women in their quest to go up the promotion ladder.
Further information on the breakdown and applications is now present on the newly revamped website, www.tujiamini.co.ke
Building on the significant impact of Tujiamini 2024, which positively impacted over 750 participants and 11 regional grassroots football teams, the 2025 edition promises to amplify its reach and impact.
Tujiamini 2025 is poised to build upon the successes of previous years and further its commitment to community empowerment and other talent ecosystem development.
