The KCB FC fraternity have set their focus on picking up three points in their upcoming Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) fixture.

The Patrick Odhiambo army are scheduled to host Posta Rangers at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a County on Saturday.

The game, which is among the four that will be played on Saturday, is expected to start at exactly 3 PM local time.

KCB FC, who bottled a 1-0 first half lead to draw 1-1 with Mathare United in their latest tie that was staged at the same venue, have no more room for error as they continue to chase their dream of clinching the FKFPL title at the end of the season.

According to Odhiambo, they lost two points in their midweek encounter in a painful manner because they missed their chances and allowed their opponents to score a late goal.

KCB FC fraternity have set their focus on picking up three points in their upcoming Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) fixture.

The gaffer, who has had a spell with Kakamega Homeboyz, promised to do everything possible to help the club overcome Posta Rangers.

However, he also admitted that playing against Rangers will not be easy since they are difficult to break down.

“The key thing is to go back to the drawing board to work on converting our goals, our created chances so that we can be able to score in the next game.

On Saturday we have another match here against Posta and Posta is a hard team,” explained Odhiambo.

He further stated that KCB is still in the FKFPL title race and they will give everything on the pitch until the end of the season.

“We are in the title race, if you observe how the games are being played, I can personally say that I am in the race.

I also know I am in a good position. I haven’t given up at all. And even the players, they have not given up. We are in the title race until the very end,” commented Odhiambo.

On his part, KCB forward Philemon Nyakwaka promised their fans that they will work hard in training and improve their performance.

“I would like to ask our supporters not to give up because we are still in the title race. I hope, God willing, we will win the next game. We are going to work in the span of these two days,” ended Nyakwaka.

A win for KCB will help them increase their tally to 39 points and overtake defending champions Gor Mahia FC, who occupy the third position in the standings at the moment.

Besides the KCB versus Posta Rangers fixture, FC Talanta and Nairobi City Stars will play Bidco United and Ulinzi Stars respectively with both matches planned to take place at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos while Sofapaka shall host Mara Sugar in Dandora.
