Bandari FC won their second consecutive match on Sunday evening after beating Murang’a Seal 3-2 in an entertaining match.

Bandari, who narrowly squeezed past Nairobi City Stars with a 1-0 win one week ago, were the first ones to open the scoring in the tie that was staged at the SportPesa Arena.

The goal came courtesy of William Wadri, who dispatched a penalty past Murang’a Seal goalkeeper Morgan Ambuka in the 20th minute of the clash.

After the penalty that was described as a soft one by the home fans, the hosts increased their energy as they searched for an equalizer.

The increased pressure led to a goal scoring opportunity in the 22nd minute when John Kiplangat was fouled near the Bandari FC 18 yard box, but David Wafula fired the resultant free kick wide.

Bandari FC won their second consecutive match on Sunday evening after beating Murang’a Seal 3-2 in an entertaining match.

Nevertheless, it did not take long for Murang’a Seal to draw level since they were awarded a penalty a few seconds later when Victor Haki was fouled inside the danger area.

Kiplangat took the responsibility and he did not disappoint – the talented forward put the ball into the net to make it 1-1.

Despite a spirited display from players from both sides, particularly the Murang’a Seal ones, the first half ended with the same score line.

However, four minutes from the start of the first half, Bandari FC managed to take the lead again when Wadri made Murang’a Seal defenders pay for a blunder with a neat finish.

As the game continued, the hosts had opportunities to find an equalizer but luck was not on their side.

Bandari went on to punish them for wasting their chances when Emoni Tanui squeezed his shot past Ambuka in the 75th minute to make the scoreboard read 3-1.

Although Murang’a Seal pulled one back in the added time (90+2) through Rajab Omar, the Dockers managed to hold on to their lead and collect all the three points.

The win helped them to increase their tally to 29 points and climb to the fifth position in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) standings while Murang’a Seal remained stuck in position 11 having gathered 23 points since the start of the season.
