As the game continued, the Thika road based students scored another penalty to bring the scores to 19-6.

This was Blak Blad’s second heavy defeat in a row since they were hammered 55-0 by KCB RFC one week ago.

Meanwhile, KCB Rugby cruised past Kenya Harlequin with a 38-16 victory in an hotly contested encounter that was played at their Ruaraka-based home ground.

Although the visitors managed to score the first try within 10 minutes thanks to Ervin Asena’s penalty, KCB did not panic.

They stuck to their game plan and went on to score two quick tries in the 24th and 27th minute through Elvis Olukusi and Michael Wamalwa respectively. Austin Sikutwa was able to make a conversion after Wamalwa’s try to give the Bankers a 12-3 lead.

A penalty from Asena gave Kenya Harlequin hopes of getting the three points from the match.

However, tries from Andy Cole Omolo, Davis Chenge, Olukusi and Sikutwa were enough to help KCB win the match.  Kenya Harlequin’s other tries came courtesy of Billy Aboum and Charles Kinyanjui.

The outcome was a painful one for Kenya Harlequins since it was their third consecutive third in the tournament.
