Shujaa

After a successful round three in Australia, the pools for the fourth round of the HSBC SVNS Series 2025 which will be held in Vancouver, Canada, from 21-23 February have been confirmed.

The Kenya national team, Shujaa, has been placed in Pool A alongside Perth 7s champions Argentina, 2023 runners-up France and Great Britain, all three teams that are currently in the top eight overall.

The tournament will be played at BC Place in Vancouver and Kenya will aim to replicate their performances from 2018 and 2021 where they finished as runners-up.

Australia, having finished second at home, are seeded at the top of Pool B, alongside South Africa, New Zealand, and the bottom-seeded Ireland.

In the women’s category, Australia will face Canada, Brazil, and Spain in Pool A.

New Zealand is in Pool B with the USA, China, and Ireland.

Pool C includes France, Japan, Fiji, and Great Britain.

Shujaa stay ninth on the log

After three rounds in Dubai, Cape Town, and Perth, Kenya is currently in ninth place overall with 14 points, collected from three points in Dubai, eight points in Cape Town, and three points in Australia.

Fiji leads the standings with 48 points, having earned 20 points in Dubai, 16 in Cape Town, and 12 in Perth.

They are tied with Argentina, the Perth Sevens champions, who earned 16 points in Dubai, 12 in Cape Town, and 20 points in Perth. Spain is also tied, with 18 points from Dubai, 14 from Cape Town, and 16 from Perth.

South Africa is in fourth place with 44 points, while France and Australia hold the fifth and sixth spots with 40 and 30 points, respectively.

New Zealand and Great Britain round out the top eight with 28 and 20 points, respectively.

Uruguay, the USA, and Ireland occupy the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth places with 12, five, and five points, respectively.
