AFC Leopards’ sensational winger, Ovella Ochieng, has hinted at a possible move from the club in the January transfer window.
The former Kariobangi Sharks player was one of the signings made by Ingwe this season after being a free agent following his departure from South African top-tier team Richards Bay last season.
Ovella, 23, made his debut for the club on Sunday, September 29, against Nairobi City Stars, coming on as a substitute in a 2-1 win. He then made his first start against Kariobangi Sharks in October.

Speaking with Sportpesa Blog after their match against Bandari FC on Sunday, December 22, Ovella expressed that his experience at the club has been great, despite facing challenges in his early matches.
“Motivation at the club has been good, despite the first games to me were a bit difficult and tricky but I can say right now I am a bit better,” he said.
He also mentioned that he has not been fully fit in the first leg but hopes to improve in the second leg of the season. However, he expressed doubts about staying at the club beyond January.
“I think I am 70% fit because in the meantime I have been training in different positions and I think second leg will be a little bit better. That is if I will still be at the club because I am planning to move so it will depend how I will negotiate with them, (AFC Leopards)” Ovella explained.

When asked about the possibility of leaving the club after only a few months, Ovella said a transfer is likely.
“Probably January I will not be at the club, that what I can say” he added, though he did not disclose his next destination.
Ovella has been an important player for Fred Ambani’s squad. His departure would require the interim coach to search for a replacement capable of delivering the same brilliant crosses and free-kick contributions.
Ovella has scored two goals for the club: the first from a free-kick against Kakamega Homeboyz, and the second from a rebound penalty missed by Sydney Lokale in a match against Tusker FC, which Ovella finished with a tap-in.
