Gor Mahia
  • Gor Mahia seek their third consecutive win against Talanta Fc.
  • Police Fc to host Nairobi City Stars at the Dandora Stadium.
  • Shabana FC host Posta Rangers at Gusii stadium.

The 2024-25 FKF Premier League continues this week with three matches scheduled for Wednesday at different stadiums.

Reigning champions Gor Mahia will be aiming for their third consecutive win as they travel to face Talanta FC at the Dandora Stadium at 4.00 pm.

Under interim coach Zedekiah Otieno, K’Ogalo has secured victories in their last two matches, including a 2-0 win at home against Kakamega Homeboyz and a 2-0 away win over Mara Sugar.

They will be looking to secure their fifth win of the season, which could propel them to fourth place with 14 points after nine matches.

On the other hand, Jackline Juma’s Talanta FC has struggled this season, winning only two of their nine matches so far. With four draws and three losses, they sit in 15th place with 10 points. A win could lift them to ninth place.

In their last five encounters, Gor Mahia has won four times, while Talanta have claimed victory only once. Last season, Gor Mahia defeated Talanta 2-0 in the first leg.

In the second leg, however, threatened with relegation, Talanta, then under coach Ken Kenyatta, guaranted their stay in the top flight with a 4-2 triumph against a Gor Mahia side which was still in celebratory win after sealing the league title in their previous match.

Talanta, now lying in the relegation zone, will be motivated by last season’s victory as they aim to secure three points.

The match will kick off at 4:00 PM EAT.

In another match, Police FC will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat in their last match, where new head coach Etienne suffered a 1-0 loss in his debut against AFC Leopards.

They will aim to overturn that result as they host Nairobi City Stars, who also lost 1-0 to Bandari over the weekend, at Dandora Stadium in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Shabana will host Posta Rangers at Gusii Stadium, hoping to recover after a 2-0 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz at Mumias last weekend.
