Sead Ramovic

Tanzanian giants Yanga have confirmed the appointment of German coach Sead Ramovic just hours after confirming the sacking of Argentine tactician Miguel Gamondi.

“Welcome to Young Africans, head coach Sead Ramovic,” Yanga posted on their social media platforms.

Ramovic, previously head coach of South African side TS Galaxy, sent shockwaves through the South African football landscape as he announced his resignation on national television on 6 November.

Shortly after his team drew 1-1 against Stellenbosch at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, Ramovic announced he would be departing the Mpumalanga-based club.

โ€œIโ€™d like to say, from now on, I will resign. Iโ€™m no more the head coach for this club,โ€ the German, who had been in charge of the club since 2021, told SuperSport in a post-match interview.

In the two seasons at Galaxy, he led them to tenth and sixth place finishes.
