Wednesday 30 October 2024 went into the history books for leading online gaming firm SportPesa who unveiled a record 23 Midweek Jackpot winners in Nairobi, Kenya.
In an occurrence that has never been seen before, SportPesa handed over a Kshs. 12,293,909 cheque to the highest number of winners ever recorded for its Midweek Jackpot offering.
Using only 99 shillings as their stake, the winners joined SportPesa’s long line of winners after correctly predicting the outcome of all the 13 games on the Midweek Jackpot slip.
In the unveiling ceremony where the winners were treated to a delicious lunch session that also served as a meet and greet event, SportPesa once again reaffirmed its position as the factory of millionaires.
“I am really happy to be here today because I never thought this was real. I have been trying for over five years but I have never won before. This time round, I managed to fall in the winning bracket.
At first, I was in disbelief when I saw the congratulatory message. I had to withdraw one hundred and fifty thousand late at night after the jackpot ended just for my peace of mind.
In the morning, I made another withdrawal and I came to believe that SportPesa is real,” 45-year-old Ali Swaleh remarked during the ceremony.
Making his remarks after the cheque presentation, SportPesa Public Relations and Advertising Manager Willis Ojwang conveyed the gaming firm’s pride in having a record number of winners for one of its leading products.

The win marks the second time the Midweek Jackpot has been won just in the month of October 2024 alone after Dominic Musili won Ksh. 20,801,394 back on October 9.
Following the historic win, the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot has been reset and now stands at Ksh 10,000,000 which you could grab using only 99 shillings as your stake.
This week’s Midweek Jackpot gets underway on Wednesday 30 October and will run till Friday 1 November.
The SportPesa Mega Jackpot has also hit an all-time high of Ksh. 389, 054,613 which you could also win with only 99 bob.
The Mega Jackpot will be played from 2-3 November.
