Gor Mahia

The 24/25 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign continues with match week 6 fixtures taking place on Wednesday in various stadiums nationwide.

The highlight of the midweek clashes will see league leaders KCB, who are yet to lose a match this season (W4 D1), facing defending champions Gor Mahia at Dandora Stadium.

Gor have dazzled in their opening two matches where they scored seven goals while conceding none after beating Mathare United 4-0 and Posta Rangers 3-0.

On the other hand, KCB are in dominant form having won their last four games ahead of the clash against Gor Mahia.

They opened the season with a draw against Kariobangi Sharks, followed by a 2-0 win against Muranga Seal.  They then defeated Posta Rangers 3-0 before picking up 1-0 and 4-1 victories over Ulinzi Stars and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.

They will also be in confident mood as they have not lost to Gor in their last four fixtures (W1 D3).

Meanwhile, Kenya Police, the FKF Cup defending champions, will be seeking their first three points of the season against newly promoted Mathare United at Police Sacco Stadium.

Police opened their league campaign with draws against Ulinzi Stars and Tusker following their elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup by Zamalek in the second preliminary stage.

John Kamau’s Mathare will be hoping to get some motivation from the 1-0 win over Bidco United over the weekend that granted them their first win of the season.

At Gusii Stadium, Shabana will clash against Sofapaka with both teams yet to win a match this season.

Shabana, despite facing challenges, seeks their first victory after drawing 1-1 against Bidco United, drawing 2-2 against Ulinzi Stars, and losing to Mara Sugar at Awendo Stadium.

They also have two matches in hand, one against Police FC and a postponed match against Posta Rangers.

Sofapaka, having narrowly avoided relegation last season, finds themselves in a similar predicament, failing to win any of their five matches. They hope to overturn things with the Gusii based side.
