The quarterfinal draw for the Impala Floodlit 2024 tournament has been unveiled with the event set to kick off on October 19 at the Impala Club.
The draw took place at the Impala Club on Tuesday with eight teams expected to participate in the club category.
Back-to-back Impala Floodlit champions KCB RFC will begin their title defence against Kenya University’s Blak Blad in the first quarterfinal while Gibson Weru’s Menengai Oilers lock horns with Catholic Monks in the second quarter.
Last year’s runners-up Nondescripts will square off against Strathmore Leos in the third quarterfinal with hosts Impala taking on Mwamba in the final quarterfinal.

In the university category, eight teams are also set to compete.
Defending champions JKUAT will face Daystar Falcons in the first quarter.
The Rift Varsities select team will go up against USIU in the second quarter followed by Zetech Oaks playing against Kabete Stallions in the third quarter. Impala Boks will compete against KCA in the last quarter-final.
The women’s semi-finals, scheduled for October 26th and November 2nd, will feature four teams.
Defending champions Mwamba will take on NYS Ladies in the first semi-final, while hosts Impala Roans will face Northern Suburbs.
During the draw ceremony, Impala Treasurer Allan Wamanga expressed that preparations are underway to ensure the tournament meets players’ and fans’ expectations.
“We are excited to host you today as we draw closer to the tournament kick-off. Preparations are in full gear, the pitch is in pristine condition and we are finalizing repairs on the stands and lights to ensure that both fans and players enjoy a world-class experience,” he said.
“We have so far partnered with Safaricom, Huawei and Coca-Cola to ensure we deliver a world-class experience,” he disclosed.
Last year’s finals saw KCB RFC defeat Callum Oliver’s Nondies 25-23, and this year they aim to clinch the title for the sixth consecutive time, marking their 11th title overall.
Tournament tickets are available for KES 500.
