Cameroon head coach Marc Brys has unveiled a provisional squad of 33 players ahead of the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifier against Kenya’s Harambee Stars.
In a notable shake-up, Brys has included six new faces in the squad. Among them are 23-year-old defender Aurel Bisseck from Inter Milan, Frankfurt player Dina Ebimbe and Flavien Enzo, a defender currently playing for Osasuna in La Liga.
Other new call-ups include Willy Djeungoue of Zilina in Slovakia, Nicky Beloko from the Swiss Super League and Patrick Socko from SD Huesca also in La Liga.

The squad also features several established stars led by the experienced captain Vincent Aboubakar. Notable inclusions are Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana, Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo and Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa as well as Toulouse’s Frank Magri who also earned a call-up.
Cameroon and Kenya find themselves tied on 4 points in Group J, making the upcoming matches crucial for both teams.
The Harambee Stars kicked off their campaign with a draw against Zimbabwe on September 6th, followed by a 2-1 victory over Namibia on September 10th.

In contrast, the Indomitable Lions secured a narrow 1-0 win against Namibia on September 7 but were held to a goalless draw by Zimbabwe on September 10th.
The Cameroon versus Kenya match is set to take place on October 11th at Japoma Stadium in Douala.
The two teams will face off again on October 14 for the second leg to be held at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Uganda. The top two teams from the group will qualify for AFCON 2025 to be held in Morocco.
