Derrick Mukeku Kasyoka was crowned the second winner of 10 million Kenyan shillings on Thursday after hitting the bull’s eye with his predictions in the Goal Rush game offered by leading online gaming firm SportPesa.
In the game that is free to play for all active SportPesa customers, Kasyoka, who hails from Machakos County, grabbed the life-changing amount after his three prophetic predictions went according to plan, making him only the second winner after Stephen Visendi’s inaugural victory back in May 2024.
As required in the Goal Rush game, Kasyoka correctly called which team would score first and at what minute they would score that first goal in the three games on Sunday 25 August as he became the latest millionaire to be minted from SportPesa’s long list of winners.

The 38-year-old who did a Degree in Education at Kenyatta University in Nairobi scooped the amount in what was only his third attempt playing the Goal Rush and revealed how his Mathematics background helped in securing the big win.
“I am a Manchester United fan so I watch a lot of the English Premier League and follow the other leagues as well. On that Sunday, while running my errands I placed a multibet and after that, Goal Rush popped up.
Something ticked into my mind, and I do not if it is because of my Mathematics background but I said my prediction would be that the goals would be scored in the 13th, 26th and 39th minute – a difference of thirteen. So that is how I made my predictions turned to be correct,” he stated.
With his newfound fortune, Kasyoka plans to make significant changes in his life as he intends to invest in property and support his family’s future stability even as he called on other gamers to bet responsibly.
