Football enthusiasts in Mumias and the broader Western Region are in for an exciting treat as the popular Cheza Dimba tournament, powered by leading online gaming firm SportPesa, is set for the Mumias Complex stadium on Friday 2 August 2024.

Six teams from across the Western Region will compete for the coveted three-year Tujiamini sports sponsorship package worth Ksh 250,000 annually, showcasing the tournament’s wide regional impact after being staged in Kirinyaga, Meru and Eldoret.

The participating teams are:

1. Gunners FC (Vihiga County, currently 3rd in county league)

2. City Harvest FC (Bungoma County, 1st in Zone C, vying for Division 2 qualification)

3. Museno Sambakhulu FC (Kakamega County)

4. Mavusi FC (Kakamega County, competing in county league)

5. Khwirale United FC (Busia County, 9th in Western Region League – Zone B)

6. Seregeya FC (Kakamega County, playing in Likuyani Sub-County League Zone B)

This diverse lineup represents the full regional spread of the initiative, bringing together talents from various counties and league levels across Western Kenya.
