Title contenders Liverpool FC are set to open their 2024 calendar with a fiendish clash against Newcastle United on Monday night.

The Reds, who have amassed 42 points so far this season, will be hoping to extend their four-game unbeaten run in all competitions as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool registered a 2-0 win over Vincent Kompany’s coached Burnley side in their last league match with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota getting the goals.

However, although the hosts are favorites going into the crunch tie, Jürgen Klopp knows that they can easily get punished by a Newcastle side which has had a mixed season.
