Julius Njuguna, a Gor Mahia supporter, walked home with a staggering KSH 3,548,387 after correctly predicting 15 out of 17 games in the Sportpesa Mega Jackpot played this past weekend.
The 30-year-old, who also supports English Premier League giants Manchester United, came close to clinching the total prize of KSH334,783,843 but two incorrect predictions saw him settle for the over 3.5 million SportPesa Mega Jackpot bonus.
With the difficult economic circumstances that have hit the country, Njuguna was incredibly appreciative to God for sending the life-altering blessing after previous unsuccessful attempts.
The plastic businessman was also overjoyed because, in his thirty years of existence, this was the most money he had ever won or had.
“When the Mega Jackpot was still running, I remember that the night before I went to bed there were two games left. I told myself ‘Thank God, I am in the bonus sector at last, because I have never been’ but my wife told me to have faith and wait till it was over, so I could not sleep well that night.
When I went to bed, I received a message saying that I had won 3.5 million. l thought that my eyes were deceiving me so l had to wake up my wife.
We were so happy and couldn’t sleep that night. SportPesa gave me a call to congratulate me the next day and the money was deposited immediately in my account at 4:00am,” Njuguna said.

“We are incredibly grateful to SportPesa because my life is about to change. I had begun constructing my mom’s house, and this win will help me finish the project. Additionally, my plan is to buy a small plot of land and use the remaining funds to pay for my children’s education,” the millionaire said.
Njuguna vowed to keep playing the SportPesa MJP which has since increased to Ksh 335,968,787. This weekend the first game on the MJP will kick off on Saturday 25th November at 6PM.
