Chelsea will be seeking to build on their first win under new boss Mauricio Pochettino when they face League Two side AFC Wimbledon in the English Football League Cup on Wednesday night.

The Blues beat newly promoted Luton Town 3-0 for their first win in the new season and will be confident heading into the cup competition.

However, having failed to secure European football last season, Chelsea have to start at an early stage and need to overcome any possible upsets when they face AFC Wimbledon for the very first time in a competitive match.

Despite playing at home, they will need to be on the lookout as Wimbledon are unbeaten this season in all competitions (W3 D3).

The Dons also knocked out Championship side Coventry 2-1 in the first round and will head to the Stamford Bridge believing they can upset the apple cart against one of the competition favourites.

With the extra motivation of facing an English Premier League giant, can Wimbledon take their chances, or will Chelsea safely secure their passage to the next round?
