If Gor Mahia win their final Kenya Premier League match away at Nairobi City Stars, they will be declared champions.

Record KPL winners Gor had the chance to clinch a 20th title in midweek but unfortunately, they lost 3-2 to Kakamega Homeboyz.

Despite their fourth defeat of the campaign, Gor are still on top of the table with 67 points, one more than title contenders Tusker.

The brewers also failed to capitalize on Gor’s woes as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Posta Rangers, taking the title chase to the wire.

City Stars guaranteed their stay in the top-flight next season as they battled to a 2-2 draw against Talanta FC.

The reverse fixture in February ended in a 1-0 victory for Gor courtesy of a Benson Omala goal.

Omala is the KPL top scorer this season with 25 goals and needs just one goal to tie the all-time scoring record held by Maurice Ochieng’ and Boniface Ambani.

Will Jonathan McKinstry’s side bag all 3 points to guarantee them a first title since 2020 or can City Stars pull off an upset?
