Manchester United are looking to put one foot in the semifinals of the Europa League when they host Sevilla in Thursday nights first leg.
The Red Devils have already knocked out two Spanish teams in the tournament – Barcelona and Real Betis – hoping to make it three.
Sevilla on the other hand were 3-0 aggregate winners against Turkish outfit Fenerbahce and are out for a record-extending 6th Europa title.
United ended their six-year trophy drought by lifting the EFL Cup at the end of February, and they are also still active in the FA Cup.
Erik Ten Hag seems confident that United can usurp Sevilla and progress into the semis where they will take on either Juventus or Sporting Lisbon.
Sevilla are winless in their last 11 games away from home in Europe and have lost their last three such matches – their worst record in this regard since 2016.
Sevilla will enter this match off the back of a 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo in La Liga last Friday, while Man United beat Everton 2-0 in the EPL.
