Chelsea are having a nightmare English Premier League season and now face one of the toughest tests as they host Manchester City.

Chelsea are desperate to return to winning ways when they take on Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Blues are without a win in their last 5 league games since a 2-0 victory against Aston Villa in October, leaving them in 9th place.

Bournemouth on the other hand snapped a four-game losing streak to beat Everton 3-0 before the World Cup break to bring them up to 14th place.

Eight points separate Chelsea from a place in the top four of the Premier League table, but they are only two clear of a potential place in the bottom half.

The Cherries have suffered three consecutive defeats away from home in the top flight and are winless in five on rival turf ahead of this clash.

However, Bournemouth are unbeaten in three Premier League games with Chelsea – winning two and drawing one between 2019 and 2020.

Bournemouth have the worst defensive record in the league this season, conceding 32 goals in 15 games but have outscored the Blues 18-17.

It’s a long road back for Graham Potter’s side as even a win will see them just go up one spot into 8th place but it will be key for their morale.
