There are seven games left in the 2019/20 Serie A season and both teams are seeking to clinch the one and only Europa League Group Stage spot.

Napoli are in sixth place with 51 points, two ahead of AC Milan who are in seventh and this game comes at a perfect time when both teams are on a good run of form.

With notable names back in the squads, this promises to be a cracker of a fixture and here is all you need to know ahead of the Sunday night clash.

What time does Napoli vs Milan start?

The game is set to kick off at 10:45 pm at the San Paolo Stadium.

Napoli vs Milan team news

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso has received a huge boost as one of Europe’s most sought after defenders Kalidou Koulibaly and Diego Demme return from suspension to add to a fully fit squad.

Piotr Zielinski and Jose Callejon could return to the starting line-up after being benched in the last game against Genoa.

As for Milan, there are a couple of notable absentees for the trip to Naples as Samu Castillejo, Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio are all out injured. The return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has seen a turn around in form for the Rossoneri and Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to start as well.

Napoli vs Milan head to head

The home side have not tasted victory against their rivals since a close 3-2 win in August 2018 courtesy of a brace by Zielinski and a goal from club top scorer Dries Mertens.

Three of the last 5 games between both sides have resulted in draws with AC Milan bagging the latest win in a 2-0 triumph in January 2019.

Napoli vs Milan current form

Both teams come into the fixture on a two-match winning streak and it will be tough to pick these sides apart come Sunday.

Milan are unbeaten in their last 5 games whilst the hosts have won four of their last five and lost once, a 2-0 loss to Atalanta.

Napoli vs Milan prediction

In arguably the toughest match of the Serie A weekend, picking a winner will be tough to say the least.

Neither team has been close to their usual supreme form this season and have also not managed to score as many goals as they would like, so a total of 4 goals in the game seems unlikely.

Judging by their current run of form and the race for the European spot, I foresee Napoli edging Milan by a narrow margin.
