Group E leaders Ghana will battle it out against Angola on Thursday night as they seek to qualify for a 10th consecutive AFCON finals.

Ghana are looking to become the third African team to qualify for the knockout stages as they take on Uruguay in their final Group H clash.

The Black Stars come into the game in second place with 3 points behind leaders Portugal who take on South Korea in their final match.

Uruguay are bottom of the table with a point to their name following defeat to Portugal and a barren draw against South Korea.

This game is of utmost importance to the Africans as they are on a revenge mission after Uruguay dramatically knocked them out of the quarters in the 2010 World Cup.

Ghana can now eliminate Uruguay from the 2022 competition, having picked up three points from their opening two matches at the tournament.

They lost their section opener 3-2 to Portugal before recording a 3-2 victory over South Korea.

Uruguay, who famously won the World Cup in 1930 and 1950, finished fourth at the 2010 competition before reaching the round of 16 and quarters respectively in 2014 and 2018.

The South American nation have not actually been knocked out of a World Cup in the group stage since 2002, which was the first time that it had happened since 1974.
