Bandari sack Moroccan head coach Borji
βBandari FC announces that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Mohamed Borji and his assistant Tarik Mendamou effective immediately. This decision follows a review of the team’s technical direction as the club focuses on re-strategizing its performance.
We thank Coach Borji and Tarik for their contributions during their time at the club. The club will in coming days announce new technical arrangements. In the meantime, Coach Razak Siwa will oversee the upcoming match,” the statement read.
Moroccan Borji took charge of the club on October 6 after his predecessor Ken Odhiambo was dismissed from his duties following a string of poor performances.

He leaves the Dockers fourteenth on the log, separated from the relegation spot by goal difference.
In his place, former Harambee Stars goalkeeper Razak Siwa is expected to lead the team on an interim basis.
Siwa, a highly experienced ex-Kenyan International, has served as a Goalkeeper Coach in several top-tier clubs, including Tanzania’s Yanga SC, AFC Leopards, and KCB, and the Kenya Senior Men’s National Team.
His first assignment will be attempting to get back to winning ways when the Mombasa-based club welcomes Gor Mahia at the Mbaraki Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Earlier this week, Kenya Ports Authority Managing Director, Captain William Ruto, dissolved the Bandari FC Board of Trustees, retaining only the clubβs CEO, Mr. Tony Kibwana.
In an official statement, the MD said, βAcknowledging the competitive nature of the FKF Premier League, and being keen to re-strategize the clubβs performance, management hereby dissolves the 2025 Board of Trustees pending the reconstitution of the board in due time.β
It remains to be seen whether the changes will bear fruit.
