Ulinzi Stars delivered a strong performance in Round 10 of the Sportpesa League 25/26, staging an impressive 1-3 comeback to defeat Sofapaka on Monday at the Kasarani Annex.
The victory marked the team’s third win of the season and their first consecutive triumphs, propelling them out of the relegation zone and into ninth place on the table with 12 points from a possible 30.
Masita Masuta scored the equalizer to cancel out Douglas Kibet’s early goal before Paul Okoth netted a brace, leading the side to a well-deserved win for coach Stephen Ocholla, who was named the SportPesa League Team Manager of the Week.

Meanwhile, the SportPesa League Team of the Week for Round 10 was well-balanced.
The Soldiers, aside from their coach, had two players selected, while Bandari FC and Shabana also saw two players each make the cut.
KCB, Kakamega Homeboyz, Kariobangi Sharks, Kenya Police FC, and Murang’a SEAL each contributed one player to the roster.

Hassan earned the Man of the Match honour in his side’s goalless draw with Bidco United.
He delivered three crossed clearances, created numerous chances, made crucial blocks, and maintained an impressive passing accuracy to help his team secure a point away from home.
Wing Back – Aboud Omar – Kenya Police FC – 8.0
The Harambee Stars left-back had an excellent game with the Law Enforcers, scoring the solitary goal that secured a win against Mathare United.
His Man of the Match performance ensured Mathare’s dominance didn’t lead to goals, as he contributed with clearances in the box, progressive forward passes, and well-timed blocks.

Central Midfield – Rodgers Ouma – Kakamega Homeboyz – 7.8
Ouma found the net in his side’s 2-0 victory over Posta Rangers, a win that brought them within a single point of league leaders Gor Mahia.
Named Man of the Match, he provided discipline in the midfield and scored his debut goal for Kakamega Homeboyz.
Central Midfield – Said Tsuma – Bandari FC – 7.4
Facing his former team, Tsuma helped Bandari secure a point in a goalless draw with Bidco United.
