Mara Sugar’s home winless run extended to three matches after they were held to a SportPesa League stalemate by Bidco United on Friday afternoon at the Awendo Green Stadium.
The Millers had commenced their two opening 25/26 season fixtures at home, where they played out a goalless draw with Kakamega Homeboyz before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to league newcomers Nairobi United.
Hoping to secure their first three-point haul of the season to add to the three they had taken from Ulinzi Stars, Edward Manoah’s charges instead found a stubborn Bidco United side.
The result sees The Millers climb just one spot to 11th with five points.

In contrast, Anthony Akhulia’s men leapt into fourth place, overtaking Gor Mahia, as the single point gave them seven from a possible twelve. They had entered the clash with two wins and a loss.
On a well rained Awendo turf, neither side created any dangerous attempts in a cagey first half.
Mara was forced into an early change in the 25th minute when Abdalah Swaleh sustained an injury and was replaced by Mike Isabwa.
The pattern of play saw little change after the interval, despite both managers making several alterations.
The Oilers crafted two chances; one from Dennis Murunga found the back of the net, only to be ruled out, while a late opportunity fell to Collins Akite, who failed to convert.
Bidco will now aim for a maximum return when they face APS Bomet next weekend, while Mara Sugar will also hope for three points as they take on Bandari at the same venue.
